Freight & LTL Shipping

Many larger fitness machines and heavy equipment ship via freight carrier rather than standard parcel delivery. This page explains what to expect and how to prepare.

Freight shipping is typically used for items that are too large, heavy, or bulky to ship via UPS, FedEx, or standard ground services.

What is LTL shipping?

LTL stands for Less-Than-Truckload. Your order shares space on a freight truck with other shipments and is delivered on a pallet or crate.

What does curbside delivery mean?

Standard freight delivery is curbside. This means the driver will lower the pallet to the ground at the end of your driveway or curb.

  • Delivery is scheduled in advance
  • Customer must be present to receive the shipment
  • Driver does not move equipment inside

What is liftgate service?

A liftgate is a hydraulic platform attached to the back of the truck that lowers heavy shipments safely to ground level.

Liftgate service is recommended for residential deliveries unless you have a loading dock or forklift available.

Delivery scheduling

Once your order reaches the local freight terminal, the carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment window.

  • You must be available to receive the shipment
  • Signature is typically required
  • Inspect for visible damage before signing

What if my shipment is damaged?

Before signing, carefully inspect the shipment. If there is visible damage, note it clearly on the delivery receipt (BOL) and take photos.

If damage is discovered after delivery, contact us immediately so we can assist with a resolution.
